1. Wake Forest used the defensive strategy of "HORSE" when they traveled to Duke yesterday. The analyst on television said the Demon Deacons were playing hard, but they must defend better and cut down on turnovers. Did I hear this right? Playing hard includes playing good defense and if Wake forest's goal was to fool Duke by leaving Ryan Kelly and the rest of his teammates wide open to throw them off their game. Strategy accomplished! Wake Forest commits turnovers and failed to guard all afternoon. What was a 18 loss could have been 40.
2. NC States freshmen TJ Warren and Rodney Purvis are fun to watch. They play hard and the right way. Sure they struggle on the defensive end of the floor, but you can see the effort from both players who can are already effective on the offensive end. Without their 30 combined points the Wolfpack leave Boston College with a loss instead of grinding out a win.
3. Erik Green is going to a version of the late eighties Walt Williams because outside of Green the Hokies have no one to turn to for offense. Green is a special player, but the post season probably will not see him unless drastic changes take place in Blackburg.
4. Reggie Bullock will be in the line up for North Carolina today after missing time with a concussion. PJ Hairston scored 15 points in his absence. Bullock leads the team in three point percentage at 47.5%.
