Key to Redskin Win: Invisible Josh LeRibeus if Lichensteiger Can't Go

When Washington and Seattle play today the Redskins Josh LeRibeus will most likely have to play at some point spelling Kory Lichensteiger who is one of the best interior offensive linemen in the NFL and very good in the zone blocking scheme Kyle Shanahan uses. Lichensteiger was hurt in the redskins last game versus Dallas and LeRibeus, from Southern Methodist University, performed well in his absence.

LeRibeus has the size and agility to play in the Redskins zone blocking scheme, but the problem will be if he is not in sync with the other linemen on the timing of cutback blocks and the generally coreography that is needed in your offensive line.

Seahawk's defensive tackle Brandon Mebane has the quickness and ability to penetrate the line of scrimmage and Washington must seal the interior to give Alfred Morris daylight to reach the next level where his size and speed out matches the Seattle defensive backfield.

The match up in the trenches will be fun to watch all afternoon as both defensive lines chase two rookie quarterbacks that have the ability to extend plays with their legs.
